A great day inside of Trabzon city visiting the historical icon, The Sumela Monastery and then Mount Zigana and Limni lake on the summit of the mountai
We start the day with a pick up and drive to Macka Altindere Valley National Park. Getting off at the entrance of the park, get transfered to another smaller vehicle provided by the park authorities to climb up to the entrance of the Sumela Monastery and this ride takes almost 10 minutes. Upon arrival we visit the beautiful Greek Orthodox Monastery dates back to the late 4th century AD built during the reign of the Emperor Theodosius. It reached its present form in the 13th century after gaining prominence during the existence of the Empire Trebizond.
After Sumela Monastery we drive to one of the most beautiful villages of the city called Hamsikoy which is famous with its incredible nature and home made pudding.
We then move to Zigana pass which connects the Black Sea coastline to Eastern Anatolia and Limni lake located on the summit of the Mount Zigana, have free time here to enjoy the beautiful nature.
We will leave the Limni lake after free time and taking nice photos, drive back to the city center and finish the day by dropping you off at your hotel.
